When you're asked this question, if you're like most you think WHO around me might be cheating me. Business partners, colleagues, advisors, doctors, teachers, waitresses, hair stylists, etc. But what I've found over the years is that people cheat themselves much more often, and much more viciously, than any other person could ever get away with.
Every day the opportunity is right in our face to make decisions that could change the momentum and radically shift our direction.Yet human nature is to only do enough to stay comfortable, because change itself and new territory MAY be uncomfortable, or even DANGEROUS right?
Just look at how 99% of people deal with their health (maybe even someone very personal?). Usually we do what we want, eat what we want, when we want, and then when somewhere along the line we get sick, or worse some part of us wears out or shuts down, THEN we do, not all we could, but JUST ENOUGH to get the symptoms under control so we can go back to doing what we want when we want it. That was wordy so you may want to go back and read it again. Are you guilty?
If you are, then you like most are your Biggest Cheater. Any time you're not doing all you possibly can to support your health, your relationships, your knowledge, your fitness, or any other area in your life, consider what you're cheating your FUTURE of?The old saying goes that “The most valuable real estate on Earth are the graveyards, because that's where all the unused potential is buried.”If there was a way to see into your possible future at what you COULD attain, or your past at what you could have, every single gravestone would read “Here lies the world's greatest ______, but never attained it because of a Lack of Vision and PROCRASTINATION.”Would yours read something like this?
STOP.If you even for ONE SECOND had a trace of a doubt that you were NOT made to be the greatest _____ then your problem is MUCH deeper.Self worth is what sums up this whole conversation.A person who has a lot of self worth will do whatever it takes to maintain oneself no matter the cost. How would you take care of a Van Gogh, or a Ferrari?
Right NOW decide that you will do whatever it takes to discipline and organize yourself for LIFELONG results.Live MAXIMIZED.Stop letting excuses run your life, and STOP CHEATING YOURSELF!
