So a patient called my cell phone today because she just HAD to tell me what just happened. Her 5yr old had a rash develop so she took him to the pediatrician for a DIAGNOSIS. NOT for treatment, she knows better, but to find out what it was so I could tell her what to do NATURALLY for it.
So in consultation he asks about vaccinations being up to date in which she says NO. He asks why. She says for “religious reasons” (which means by definition your personal convictions not constrained by organized religious belief). He goes on to say that her son was a BIOHAZARD! She was clearly offended by that but when he used the line about cancer children etc being at risk she wasn't sure what to say. So I figured I would arm everyone with the right questions to fire back. Use at your own risk of angry scowls!
“Your child is a risk to other children”
- The point they make is self conflicting because if the vaccines worked then those children who are vaccinated should have zero risk, while the children of “ignorant” parents who don't get vaccinated should be widely available as proof that they contracted the diseases and died right? Ask if they have any case histories of this happening.
“Your child is a risk to kids with cancer (who have no immune system from chemo)”
- This kind of question is clearly canned to make you feel like dirt for these poor kids who are dying. So turn the table. Those children just like yours should be under treatment that BUILDS immunity, not destroys it. The argument here is robbing Peter to pay Paul. Like taxing people to death, then saying you need to raise taxes even further on the ones who have money to give to those who you already robbed blind (sound familiar?).
“If your child is not vaccinated they're at risk of dying of these diseases”
- If they provide you anything, I'd love to see it!
“Your child can not be a patient if they're not up to date with their shots”
